V59 Preview

Eva's Cover
Well everyones talking about this right now, and why not make A Color part of it too, Here s a little preview of the entirely photographed by Mario Testino issue of V Magazine (#59):
Models.com:
The idea of a swimsuit issue is generally associated with Sports Illustrated and the kinds of cheerfully cheesecake pictures that can be found pinned up in locker rooms. V Magazine has taken this time honored tradition and given it the high gloss, high fashion treatment enlisting Mario Testino and six of the most recognizable faces in modeling to turn of the heat and get us ready for summer. Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer and Daria Werbowy bare almost all as they pose for individual covers. Only Eva for now, since half the fun of V’s multiple covers lies in the anticipation…

Fashionistas gone Crazy

Last Thursday (April 23) was the official launch of Matthew Williamson’s capsule collection for H&M in the US, The Cut via their Twitter decided to cover the event life, I’m now reading it and I can only laugh at how crazy things can get, and I couldn’t wish more to live in the US or somewhere with an H&M I would be totally involved in all of this kind of things! Life hates me, yes, here all I’m able to do, is a line to get myself ….. actually nothing!!

Some of the tweets from the opening:

We're live at the Matthew Williamson for H&M opening! Some overachieving types are already lined up, clutching their coffee for dear life.7:15 AM Apr 23rd

Line halfway down the block. Shoppers look cold. April is cruel to a fashionista.7:29 AM Apr 23rd

Despite the menswear collection, we're only spotting two dudes in the crowd -- and one is someone's boyfriend. 7:34 AM Apr 23rd
(Juan’s note: I would have been there, but I’m stuck here, so...)
People seem ready and eager to go over their budgets -- this little economy booster comes courtesy of H&M's easy return policy.7:57 AM Apr 23rd

One girl in line is using her unemployment check to buy stuff here. Taxpayer commentary aside, that's some serious funemployment.
8:18 AM Apr 23rd
Another girl told her boss she wasn't going in today because of the MW launch; boss asked for the blue blazer.8:21 AM Apr 23rd

Entire line got in in one swoop, red carpet now empty, save for some litter. Madness inside, people grabbing big stacks of dresses.8:41 AM Apr 23rd

Full wall of clothes ALREADY GONE. Has been replaced with regular H&M stuff. Insanity.8:42 AM Apr 23rd

Dressing room employee says potential purchaser of size 2 blazer has 2 min to claim it before its fed to the crowd.9:10 AM Apr 23rd
(Juan's Note: GIVE IT TO ME!)
And at the one-hour mark, most of the MW mannequins have been changed back into their regular ol' H&M outfits.9:33 AM Apr 23rd
And the last one:
When the mannequins go back to wearing old H&M, that's our cue to leave. Anxious shoppers can wait for returns or brave 59th st. Godspeed.9:39 AM Apr 23rd

Now I can go and kill myself, I need some H&M love at this moment.

As a Bonus to make you guys forget about my absence this past few days, here is the campaign for the collection featuring Daria Werbowy in Mexico photographed by Sølve Sundsbø:

And as an extra extra bonus: here you got some photos of the “Behind The Scenes” via Matthew’s camera of the campaign:

Where are you?

The boyfriend post!
As you guys now, a few days ago the cover of May's Vogue issue was revealed, featuring for the first time (in a really long time) some models, it was a 3 page cover featuring: Natalia V, Anna Jagodzinska, Lara Stone, Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmermann, Jourdan Dunn, Caroline Trentini, Liya Kebede and Isabeli Fontana in a group portrait shoot by Steven Meisel!
Inside the issue (which is my favorite from this year) there are various photospreads (which I'll be posting later this week, but right now, is all about my favorite one from the issue: it's called "Meet the Boyfriends", and features 6 models with their model -most of them are or look like one- boyfriends, maybe I'm cheesy and all that but I find these pictures truly amazing, and all I can wish is that none of this girls ever break up with their super hot boyfriends, hahaha, it will happen something like what happended to Carrie on the Sex and The City movie, Bridal Couture photo spread + Not gettin´married= not fun!
